Once registered, a trademark is valid for 10 years from the date of application, and can be renewed indefinitely in further 10-year terms.

It means your application has been assigned to an Examiner and is awaiting formal examination against Section 9 and Section 11 grounds.

The Examiner has raised a formal objection in an examination report, which must be replied to within 30 days.

Your mark has cleared examination and been published in the Trademark Journal, opening the 4-month window during which third parties can file an opposition.

A third party has filed a formal opposition against your published mark, and a Counter Statement must be filed within 2 months of receiving the notice.

Under the current First Schedule of the Trade Marks Rules, 2017, the e-filing fee is ₹4,500 per class for an individual, startup or Udyam-registered MSME, and ₹9,000 per class for any other applicant.
